What is the HEARTS OF VEGAS Celebration?
This is a special EQNITE event being put on by the charity EQJOY in collaboration with Mark Shunock and The Space.
It is a part of EQ United, a nationwide community-powered movement that strengthens children’s mental health and family wellbeing, and supports the creation of SPACE 2.0, a state-of-the-art community hub where the arts, education, and wellbeing converge to empower the next generation.
Who the Event is for?
This celebration is by invitation only and exclusively for the Community Champions and Heroes of Las Vegas—the people who show up for others every single day. Our guest list includes:
- The Protectors: Veterans, active-duty military, and first responders standing on the front lines of our safety.
- The Caregivers & Healers: Nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers, along with the foster parents and social workers who provide sanctuary and hope to our city’s most vulnerable.
- The Educators & Mentors: Teachers, school staff, and faith leaders who provide the moral and intellectual foundation for our families.
- The Unsung Pillars: Non-profit volunteers, utility crews, transit workers, and civil servants who keep the heart of Las Vegas beating behind the scenes.
These people spend their days giving. This special EQNITE Vegas event is designed to give back to these champions and heroes — and kickstart shared momentum around strengthening children’s mental health and supporting family wellbeing.
Why we’re gathering
We are coming together for the HEARTS OF VEGAS Celebration to shine a bright light on the individuals who serve as the heartbeat of community. In a city known for its glittering lights, their dedication is the true light that guides people through challenges and sustains daily lives.
The event offers attendees a fun and inspiring evening featuring top-class entertainment, from expert guidance on building joy and improving wellbeing, and a mini workshop on the power of transformational stories. Because when our champions are supported, our children and families thrive.
This gathering is more than a thank-you; it is the start of a movement that not only recognizes the vital role these people play and supports their wellbeing but focuses on strengthening the mental health of children: their own and that of the children they serve and protect.
This movement lays the foundation of a stronger, more compassionate, more community-driven Las Vegas.

Jeff Civillico is a 10-year Las Vegas Headliner turned Hall of Fame keynote speaker. He is the Founder & Chairman of Win Win Charity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that brings joy and smiles to children in hospitals nationwide by arranging in-person and virtual visits from entertainers, athletes, and celebrities.
Andrew is on a mission to empower children to become Masters of Emotional Intelligence through the charity EQJOY Co, which he co-founded. And through the Art and Science of Joy Andrew draws on his research skills and lived experience to empower adults to build more joy into their lives.

About EQNITE Vegas
EQNITE Vegas is part of the EQ UNITED initiative, which is a community-powered movement for families and children rallying people and organizations together to strengthen children’s mental health and support family wellbeing and joy.
Many families are feeling the strain, without enough tools, shared language, or community support.
Parents everywhere want their children to grow up emotionally strong, resilient, and confident. They want to help their children build healthy relationships, navigate challenges — while also caring for their own wellbeing and joy along the way.
EQ UNITED has been created as a grassroots movement to move from just talking about the problem of children’s mental health to implementing solutions.
When communities come together around a shared purpose, local actions create lasting, far-reaching impact.
EQ UNITED is lead by the 501(c)(3) charity EQJOY Co, which is on a mission to strengthen children’s mental health through the power of Emotional Intelligence (EQ). EQJOY collaborates with a wide range of partners to help children develop the EQ skills they need to build their resilience and improve their social skills, and to set them on the path to living fulfillng, joyful lives by becoming Masters of EQ.
